COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) â Needless to say, driving in Coldwater was an adventure on Monday as Michigan Department of Transportation contracted crews began the milling and paving portion of a $1-point-4 million project on U.S. 12 between Western and Michigan Avenues.
City Manager Keith Baker told the Coldwater City Council on Monday night crews are initially working on the intersections before they work on the long runs through town.
U.S. 12 is down to one lane in each direction and Baker said that will be the case for several weeks until the work is done.
Crews performed sanitary sewer repairs during the week of July 12 which forced a total shutdown of U.S. 12 for about a week.
