After two financial forecasts projecting a deficit, the local public school board is now calculating an estimated surplus of over $3 million for the concluding school year.
At a recent board meeting, trustees with the Upper Canada District School Board were told they could end the 2020-21 school year with a $3.4 million surplus.

Jeremy Hobbs, executive superintendent of business services, gave the presentation to the trustees outlining the final of three financial forecasts for the school year, which ends on the last day of August.
