Bryan Bidlack has served South Brunswick for 22 years, as head of the Department of Community Development since 1999, and as deputy manager the past three years.
On April 27, the South Brunswick Township Council appointed Bidlack as the acting township manager since manager Bernard Hvozdovic began as municipal administrator in Princeton on May 3.
Bidlack has supervised professional and administrative staff and the township’s land use consultancy, and has assisted in the preparation of township budgets and participated in the formation of collective bargaining agreements for many years, according to information provided by the township.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK - The Township Council has appointed an acting township manager.
Bryan Bidlack was appointed acting township manager on April 27. Former Township Manager Bernard Hvozdovic has accepted the township manager position in Princeton starting on May 3, according to a statement from the township.
“I am honored that the Mayor and Council have entrusted me with this position, Bidlack said I look forward to serving the community and most importantly I am determined to ensure the quality of life for all in South Brunswick is preserved.”
The governing body recognized Bidlack’s 22 years of service to the township, including the previous three as the deputy manager.

A motorist who was allegedly under the influence of drugs when he slammed into another car on a Cumberland County roadway last year, killing a passenger and seriously injuring two others, has been indicted.
Daniel R. Nelson, 39, of Vineland, was at the wheel of a Hyundai sedan traveling west on Route 77 in Upper Deerfield Township around 7 a.m. on April 11 when his vehicle struck the rear of a Toyota sedan, according to his affidavit of probable cause. The impact sent that vehicle into the back of another Toyota.

A Cumberland County man faces up to 30 years in prison after admitting he conspired to illegally distribute more than a million prescription pills, including opioids, and laundered drug trafficking proceeds, the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey announced this week.
Alton Chatmon, 50, a former licensed pharmacist who operated pharmacies in Millville and Upper Deerfield Township until 2015, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled dangerous substances, including the synthetic opioid Tramadol and the barbituate butabital, and one count of conspiring to commit money laundering.
