This ensures that when it is time for the specimen to be tested, it can be retrieved quickly. CompuNet can potentially receive more than 1,000 COVID-19 specimens per day. A local clinical laboratory is offering COVID-19 PCR and Antigen testing without the need for a doctor’s order at select locations throughout Southwest Ohio. Tests without a doctor’s order are part of CompuNet’s “direct access” service, CompuNet Direct. Individuals purchase tests directly with a credit card and results are sent to the patient. The price for CompuNet Direct’s COVID-19 Antigen test is $60 and the PCR test is $100.

The National Endowment for the Arts works with state partners such as the Ohio Arts Council, who in turn work with regional partners to host the competition where the winner takes home a $20,000 cash prize. Piqua Arts Council is responsible for a 12-county region. Botkins High School, Jackson Center High School, Piqua High School, Sidney High School, Springfield Clark CTC, Kettering Fairmont High School, Chaminade Julieanne High School and Xenia High School are registered for this year’s competition.

Mother, daughter remain hospitalized after crash SIDNEY The mother and daughter injured in Tuesday’s crash on state Route 48 remain hospitalized. According to Shelby County Sheriff Jim Frye, Angela I. Foster, 37, and Alexandria Foster, 10, both of Covington, are expected to make a full recovery, said a family member. Foster’s 15-year old daughter, Hayley Worden, also of Covington, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. As a result of injuries received in the crash, Sean T. Brown, 27, of Sidney, passed away Wednesday night, Jan. 6, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of an injury crash on state Route 48, near Fessler Buxton Road, around 7:36 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. The investigation indicated a Toyota Tundra, driven by Brown, was traveling northbound on state Route 48. The vehicle went left of center and into the path of a southbound 2018 International 4300 Utility truck, driven by Chris A. Tebbe, 51, of Russia
