It’s time to finish what we’ve started. For years many of us have been fighting for meaningful change to improve our waterways, combat toxic algae and restore the Everglades. With record toxic algae in Lake Okeechobee, contaminated algal drinking water within the Palm Beaches and record manatee deaths – the effort looks like a failure. Instead, perhaps it’s a case of it being darkest before the dawn. None of Florida’s water problems happened overnight and the solutions to them – now several years in the making, have been anything but easy to achieve. The Everglades Restoration Project has advanced to the point where most water discharged east and west from Lake Okeechobee can now been sent south into the Everglades. According to Congressman Brian Mast, the Army Corps of Engineers will choose from one of five plans in July which will determine the future of discharges and specifically how much water will hea

Let the truth be told. Aside from being a great song from Mattew West, it’s what’s long needed to happen with Black Lives Matter. Last summer as the Marxist organization rose to prominence, I pointed out what they actually stood for which was posted as the mission statement on their website. Here’s a refresher:
We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.
We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege
We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered.
This fight against the effort to institutionalize racism and Marxism in the education curriculum is every Floridian’s fight. The battle on Wednesday in Palm Beach County’s special school district session was only the beginning.

What’s in your wallet? No this isn’t a credit card commercial. This is about the non-plastic stuff in your wallet. See that dollar in your wallet? Now, what’s that worth? You’re thinking a dollar, right? Well, not quite because it doesn’t work that way. The surge in inflation we’ve experienced, with the largest year over year increase in consumer prices since 2008, is being predominantly driven by what your dollar is no longer worth. A year ago today the US Dollar Index was over $99 and today’s it’s $89. That 10% decline in the value of the US dollar means before supply and demand ever enters the equation you have to pay more for stuff because your dollar isn’t worth what it used to be. Why? Because all of the free puppies, and candy and Biden bucks aren’t free. The US is over $28 trillion in debt, it doesn’t have money for free puppies and candy and Biden bucks. That means it’s printin

Do we finally care enough to do something about our school boards? While I’ve heard from numerous concerned parents regarding the School District of Palm Beach County’s recent policy announcement to engage in the
dismantling structures rooted in white advantage and transforming our system by hearing and elevating under-represented voices, sharing power, recognizing and eliminating bias, and redistributing resources to provide equitable outcomes. the flood gates have opened after it made national news when Fox News covered it. It’s my hope this is the capitulation point in which all residents, not just parents, get involved to take back our education establishments in South Florida. As I point out in today s Q&A, we have problems with accountability throughout our local school districts with Broward and Palm Beach County being especially problematic. To me this is a similar version of a different thing to wha
