The Seattle Kraken is set to become the National Hockey League’s 32nd team in the 2021–22 season.
Who will skate for Seattle? That will be decided at this summer’s Expansion Draft, an event at which 30 of the NHL’s 31 teams will lose a player to the Kraken.
All NHL teams with one exception must submit a list of players to the Kraken who are protected from being selected by the new expansion team. The Vegas Golden Knights, Seattle’s expansion sibling from 2017, are exempt from the upcoming Expansion Draft.
The NHL is again offering all participating teams two options for their protection lists. Teams can choose either of the following configurations:

The Coyotes built an early lead - and hung on to protect it late - to earn a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues Thursday night at Enterprise Center.

The Arizona Coyote will play their first game tomorrow against the San Jose Sharks. Today, they announced the opening night roster which will feature three goaltenders, seven defensemen, and thirteen forwards.
There are very few surprises when it comes to the roster.
Barrett Hayton and Kyle Capobianco both made the roster. Both players have been on the edge of being full-time NHL players, and starting with the team is a sign that they have developed positively.
Ilya Lyubushkin was not listed on the roster as he is currently dealing with immigration/visa issues per the Coyotes.

Coyotes training camp continues as the team prepares for the 2020-21 regular-season opener against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, January 14. The club held its second day of on-ice practices Tuesday. An intrasquad scrimmage is scheduled for Wednesday.

The Coyotes skated both A and B groups at Gila River Arena.
Group A, considered the main group at camp, comprised 24 players and three new faces. Goaltender Zany McIntyre, forward Frederik Gauthier and defenseman Dysin Mayo were promoted to skate with Group A. Goaltender Ivan Prosvetov, forward Jan Jenik and defenseman Cam Crotty skated with Group B.
