Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza was supposed to wear a creation by Dubai-based Filipino Michael Cinco for the evening gown competition in the recent Miss Universe pageant.
But Andrea changed her mind.
“It was a lovely dress, a white dress. But the reason why I didn’t wear it was because it wasn’t long enough for me,” she said, during an Instagram live session.
“It fitted perfectly, but I could only wear it without heels. And, of course, I wanted to wear heels. That’s why I didn’t use it.”

As Filipino pageant fans put it, the plot thickens as stories arise in relation with the issue concerning Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco and the team behind Miss Universe Canada, MGMode Communications.
The PR firm’s Miguel Martinez told his side of the story as he sat down with ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe for an interview. According to him, “things may have been said but shouldn’t have said. And having said that, I’ve never said anything that is not true.”

A “transformer gown,” that is the dress Miguel’s team planned with Michael Cinco, which he said during the interview didn’t happen. He also confirmed that the gowns arrived late and didn’t fit properly.

Migüel Martinez of publicist MGMode Communications has said that he was hurt by allegations of Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco that his team was "ungrateful, vile and professional users."
"The way he did it, he weaponized a message directed to assassinate our character,
