In total, 113,220 Xbox Series X/S units were sold on eBay and StockX over the holidays for an estimated $79.7 million in sales, according to a Chicago-based data engineer.

Nearly 7 percent of all U.S. Xbox game consoles were resold on auction sites along with nearly 50,000 GeForce 30-series cards in recent months, according to a new study.
We covered data scientist Michael Driscoll’s initial scalper report in December. In newly published data, it appears that some 113,220 Xbox game consoles were resold on auction sites eBay and StockX, spanning both the “Xbox One” and “Xbox Series” generations. That’s enough to equal 6.85 percent of all Xboxes sold in the United States. Nvidia’s new graphics cards were almost as hot as Xbox consoles, with an astounding 49,580 Ampere GPUs resold on auction sites, according to Driscoll’s numbers.

The scalpers have raked in an estimated $61.5 million in sales, with $15.2 million made in profit, according to analysis from data engineer Michael Driscoll.
Scalpers have made $15.2m profit on Nvidia’s RTX 3000 cards
Graphics card stock has been in disarray for over half a year with no sign of stabilising any time soon. Both Nvidia and AMD state that they are unable to keep up with the unusually high demand, but even when stock does reach stores, scalper bots are at the ready to buy out the best graphics cards and resell them on sites like eBay and StockX for inflated prices. As you can imagine, it’s been hugely profitable for those that swipe up the supply, making as much as $15.2 million.
