JAMMU, May 3: In order to strengthen COVID control efforts across the Union Territory, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today directed for constituting COVID Management teams consisting of DC, SP, CMO, other senior officers including Principal of the concerned Government Medical College at district level, wherever available, besides local monitoring teams at Block level, Tehsil Level and Panchayat level, for effective COVID Management.

Micro-containment, containment zones swelling by day in Kashmir
Srinagar, Apr 27: In order to prevent the COVID-19 cases from spreading, over 170 localities and areas Micro Containment Zones and Containment Zones have been declared across Kashmir.
According to the data collected, a total of 173 areas have been notified as the Micro Containment and Containments zones in the ten districts of Kashmir region.
Most of the Micro Containment Zones and Containment Zones are in Srinagar with officials informing that 13 areas in the summer capital have been notified as Containment Zones while 47 have been declared as Micro Containment Zones.
The data gathered by KNO revealed that a total of 28 areas have been declared Micro Containment Zones and Containment Zones in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district while in Shopian, Pulwama and Kulgam have three, four and eight areas respectively have been notified as Micro Containment Zones and Containment Zones.
