Four people with no obvious connection to each other received copies of a threatening, homophobic letter on Tuesday, police in Portland said.
Three of the identical letters were addressed to Portland residents, two who live on Brighton Avenue and one who lives on Capisic Street. In two cases, the recipients displayed a pride flag outside their homes. In the third case, the recipient is gay, but had no obvious pride-related symbols on their home, police said.

Feed identity, from DutchScot
London-based design studio DutchScot has created a typographic identity for social media and content creation agency Feed. “Their spirit is young and vibrant but it’s backed up by expertise,” studio partner Alex Swatridge tells Design Week. The logo is a “living, breathing representation of the word ‘Feed’” and is constantly moving vertically online. It aims to reflect how people scroll through feeds on their phones, tablets and computers. There are more nods to the company’s social media-focus throughout. Rolling over an image will reveal an emoji relevant to that particular field, and if you leave the website open, it’s eventually taken over by a crowd of the icons.

End of Days saw Arnie thwart Satan s plans to usher in the occasion by having his wicked way with Robin Tunney while disguised as an investment banker. And a whole glut of movies attempted to capitalize on the appetite for all things Y2K by simply placing the same four numbers after its title.

Hyperbole and a Half is a webcomic and blog created since 2009 by Allie Brosh. It is the origin of the clean ALL the things! meme, along with several other images used frequently in Internet memes. The webcomic is typically done in a format involving multiple Microsoft Paint drawings and captions placed between paragraphs of text, telling stories from the author s childhood and more recent life events.
The series features many recurring characters, such as Allie herself, her pets Simple Dog and Helper Dog, and the ALOT, a large woolly creature designed to mock poor grammar. The series occasionally handles heavier themes than its usual over-the-top slice-of-life humour; the author has used the blog and comic to discuss chronic depression, explaining the experience of depression as it has impacted her life.
