In a statement, the firm s Charles Moon said foldables comprised just a fraction of a percent of the 1.3 billion smartphones sold in 2020. That figure is expected to rise to 1.2% by the end of next year. The low rate of growth was expected even as the industry experimented with different form factors, designs, materials and operating system variants.
