Transfer of CSIR-CMERI technologies to three MSMEs

May 5, 2021 Mr. Omkar Bansal of ‘M/s Maa Durga Sales Agency’, Guwahati told that several areas of Assam are facing the problem of high contamination of iron in drinking water and his company is planning to start work in the four most affected districts namely Kamrup Metro, Kamrup Urban, Barpeta and Shivsagar of Assam. Presently, the company is working for installation of 700 water purification system of smaller units with a capacity of 1000 litres per hour. The company has plan to install High Flow Rate (6000 to 12000 LPH) Iron Removal filter technology of CSIR-CMERI in different districts of Assam as a part of projects received from the Government, respective panchayats and also to be a part of Jal Jeevan Mission of the Government of India.

  New Delhi: An awareness session on Oxygen related technologies was organised through digital platform by MSME – Development Institute, Jaipur in association with CSIR – Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur on 04.05.2021. Prof. (Dr.) Harish Hirani, Director, CSIR-CMERI delivered the Chief Speaker’s address in the programme. Mr. Sanjeev Saxena, Additional Director of Industries, Govt. of Rajasthan, Mr. V. K. Sharma, Director, MSME-DI, Jaipur, Dr. Rohit Jain, President, CIDA, and Mr. Mahendra Mishra, General Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharti including100 number of MSEs, entrepreneurs and industrialists participated in the said awareness programme.   Prof. Harish Hirani, Director, CSIR-CMERI emphasised upon the use of Oxygen Concentrators which has the potential to be the life saver. Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, April 26 : Amid the shortage of oxygen in hospitals across the country the CSIR-CMERI indigenously developed oxygen enrichment technology may be effective in treating COVID-19 patients. Harish Hirani, Director, CSIR-CMERI, said that the organisation developed an oxygen enrichment unit requiring easily available oil free reciprocating compressor, oxygen grade zeolite sieves and pneumatic components. This technology has tremendous potential. He urged all the participant industries/entrepreneurs to come forward at this crucial juncture and manufacture the device at the earliest.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research s (CSIR) Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI) has transferred the technology virtually to M/s Apollo Computing Laboratories (P) Ltd, Kushaiguda, Hyderabad.
