COLUMBUS, Ohio The Columbus Division of Police has identified a bicyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the east side of the city on Jan. 9.
Columbus police officers were called to the area of East Broad Street and Cardinal Park Drive around 7:30 a.m. after a Central Ohio Transit Authority bus driver saw a man lying on the ground.
The man, identified as 23-year-old Franklin Johnson Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:40 a.m.
Investigators said Johnson was riding his bicycle eastbound in the right lane of East Broad Street when a vehicle hit him from behind.
