Forget that sub-$60k C8, it no longer exists.
Chevrolet was true to its word when it announced pricing for the 2020 Corvette Stingray coupe. Starting at $59,995, the C8 Corvette could be had for less than $60,000. Considering its power, performance, and much-improved handling and overall refinement compared to any of its predecessors, this is one hell of a great deal. But good luck trying to find any sub-$60k Vettes on dealer lots because, well, very few exist. Buyers understandably add options and packages, but Chevy was still able to promote that base price even when the 2021 model arrived. Until now.
The QX50 has style, but does it need more substance?
When Infiniti radically overhauled its naming scheme for the 2014 model year, the compact EX became the QX50. For the 2019 model year, Infiniti released an all-new QX50 that is still around today with a few minor updates. Despite it being the freshest model in the lineup, the 2021 Infiniti QX50 is outsold by the much older QX60, which has been around since 2013 when it was called the JX35.
There must be a reason why Infiniti s newest model, one that sells in the hottest luxury segment on the market, isn t the company s best-seller. To find out, we borrowed a 2021 QX50 Sensory AWD for a week. After spending some time with the QX50, we found some glaring weaknesses that need to be addressed and a few areas where Infiniti succeeded.
This will fix a common complaint about the C8 Corvette.
The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was introduced for the 2020 model year, and while the 2021 model was updated with new exterior and color options, we weren t expecting the mid-engine sports car to get any major updates for the foreseeable future. Turns out we were wrong.
While the C8 s exterior styling and performance have been praised by enthusiasts, the interior has a few issues. Early adopters have complained about the quality control problems with the stitching on the center console. It s also too cluttered thanks to an abundance of buttons and switches running down the side of the center console.
