CGTC holding on-campus vaccine clinics in Macon, Warner Robins - 41NBC News

Photo courtesy of MGN WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Central Georgia Technical College is holding several on-campus COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Macon and Warner Robins. The clinics are open to faculty, staff, students and community members. In Warner Robins, Houston Healthcare will offer the drop-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics on the following dates: May 20, 2021: 9 am to 7 pm May 21, 2021: 8 am to 3 pm June 2, 2021: 9 am to 7 pm June 3, 2021: 9 am to 7 pm The clinics will take place in the Larry Walker Arena (G Building Extension) on the Warner Robins campus, located at 80 Cohen Walker Drive. Visitors can stop by and receive the first dose of a Pfizer vaccine. Clinics for the second dose will take place June 10-11, and June 23-24.

The Bibb County School District partnered with the Afterschool Alliance and Central Georgia Technical College to host the Summer Resource Fair. The event was drive through style this year. Parents and students could learn about different summer camps, community programs, and services geared towards students from 4 to 18 years old. Makeba Davis Rogers, the Family Engagement Coordinator for Bibb County Schools, says the event is helpful for families looking for summer programs for their children.

The Warner Robins Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is awarding nine high school seniors a $1,000 scholarship, and they need your help in raising the funds.  For 31 years, the chapter has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to high school seniors in Bleckley, Houston and Pulaski counties. Former Houston County High student Alexander Pegues, who won this scholarship in 2014, says students are lucky to have this opportunity.
