The injured has been identified as Pundalika, hailing from Bagalkot. He is a student of first year Pre University. It is learnt that Pundalika was in dire straits after being attacked by the honeybees. A social worker, Ansar Ahmed, immediately responded to his needs and helped to admit him into the hospital. Currently he is undergoing treatment at the government hospital at Ajjarkad. He is said to be out of danger.
