Taipei, May 28 (CNA) Taiwan s Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said on Friday that it had agreed in principle to allow companies to rapid test their employees for COVID-19, but emphasized that the tests would have to be administered by medical personnel and that the plans were not yet final.
With the rapid escalation of locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, the CECC, labor and economics ministries have met to discuss calls by some Taiwanese corporations to be allowed to screen their employees for the disease.

The Taipei City Government is to hold drills on Sunday to simulate the implementation of a level 4 COVID-19 alert, city government spokeswoman Chen Chih-han (陳智菡) announced yesterday.
