Two cases add to virus cluster

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) yesterday reported two more local cases of COVID-19 associated with a cluster involving China Airlines cargo pilots and Novotel Taipei Taoyuan International Airport hotel employees, bringing the total number of infections to 26.
Minister of Health and Welfare Chen Shih-chung (陳時中), who heads the center, said that case No. 1,145 is a Taiwanese contractor in his 40s.

Taipei, May 3 (CNA) The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on Monday released more details on where a person who was reported Sunday to have COVID-19 had been prior to testing positive for the disease.
The patient is the daughter of a housekeeper employed at the Novotel Taipei Taoyuan International Airport hotel. She developed a sore throat and fever on April 28 and 29.
People who have been to these places at similar times should closely monitor their health and seek medical attention if they develop symptoms such as fever, difficulty breathing, and diarrhea before May 12.
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) yesterday published the locations that two new confirmed COVID-19 cases had been to while they might have been contagious, including the Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system and public buses.
The new cases are the son and daughter of case No. 1,129 a woman in her 60s confirmed with COVID-19 on Friday. They are both in their 30s and work at Novotel Taipei Taoyuan International Airport hotel.
Four hotel personnel have been diagnosed with COVID-19 so far, as well as three China Airlines pilots who had quarantined at the hotel.
