The pilots, one in his 50s and the other in his 60s, are both men, CECC spokesperson Chuang Jen-hsiang (莊人祥) said at a press briefing in Taipei.
The pilots, as well as another crew member, were on board a cargo flight to the U.S. on April 14 and stayed at a hotel there until they returned to Taiwan on April 16, Chuang said.

Two Taiwanese pilots have tested positive for COVID-19, while 3,802 people have made appointments for out-of-pocket vaccinations this week, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said yesterday.
The two men, in their 50s and 60s, who fly cargo planes for a local airline, tested positive on Monday evening, said Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Deputy Director-General Chuang Jen-hsiang (莊人祥), who is the CECC’s spokesman.
Taiwan has been widely applauded for its management of the pandemic, with one of the lowest per capita Covid-19 rates in the world and life on the island largely returning to normal.
Just 11 people have died from Covid-19 in Taiwan since the pandemic began, an impressive feat for a country that never went into lockdown.
At the start of the pandemic, Taiwan was considered a high-risk country for Covid-19 due to its proximity to China and the frequent travel that takes place between the two countries.
A new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association has examined further just why Taiwan did so well at conquering Covid-19. The study’s authors, from a range of health institutes and hospitals in Taiwan and the US, compared the estimated effectiveness of two types of Covid-19 policy in the early months of the pandemic: case-based and population-based measures.

Taipei, April 19 (CNA) Taiwan on Monday confirmed three new imported cases of COVID-19, bringing the number of cases in the country to 1,076, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
Two of the new cases are women from the Philippines, both in their 30s. They traveled to Taiwan to work on April 4 and tested positive just before finishing quarantine at a government center, the CECC said.
The third case reported Monday is an Indian man in his 20s who came to work in Taiwan on April 2. He tested positive just after finishing quarantine, and two people he came into contact with have been asked to observe self-health management protocols.
