Taipei, April 11 (CNA) Taiwan on Sunday confirmed one death from COVID-19, bringing the total to 11 in the country since the outbreak began, and one new imported case, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).

TAIPEI (The China Post/ANN) â The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC, ä¸å¤®æµè¡ç«æ ææ®ä¸å¿) reported two imported cases on Saturday â an Indonesian man (case 1056) and a Philipino woman (case 1057), bringing the tally to 1,057.
Case 1056 is an Indonesian fisherman in his 20s. He came to work in Taiwan on March 26 and submitted a negative test report within 3 days prior to boarding the plane, the CECC said.
After entering Taiwan, he went to the centralized quarantine office for quarantine and was tested before his confinement expired on April 8. He was diagnosed positive earlier today.

TAIPEI (The China Post/ANN) â The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC, ä¸å¤®æµè¡ç«æ ææ®ä¸å¿) confirmed on Saturday that Taiwan will soon begin offering self-paid coronavirus vaccine doses to those who need to travel abroad.
Speaking at a press conference, CECC Spokesman Chuang Jen-hsiang (è人祥) responded to Health Minister Chen Shih-chung’s (鳿ä¸) comment earlier that day, indicated that 10,000 self-paid AstraZeneca vaccine doses will be available to people traveling abroad for work, study, or to receive medical treatments.
Chuang said: “He said so, should we dare not plan it this way?”
