Taipei, Dec. 14 (CNA) Taiwan recorded four new imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday, two from the Philippines and two from Indonesia, bringing the total number of cases to 740 since the epidemic began, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
One of the cases from the Philippines involves a woman in her 20s who came to Taiwan to work on Nov. 26, with proof of a negative COVID-19 test result issued within three days of her flight, the CECC said in a statement.
Because the woman was not a migrant worker, she was not required to be quarantined in a designated center but instead stayed at a quarantine hotel, the CECC said.
