Photo courtesy of the CECC Taipei, Aug. 3 (CNA) Taiwan on Tuesday reported 19 new cases of COVID-19 16 transmitted domestically and three contracted overseas and two deaths from the disease, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC). Of the domestic cases, 10 were reported in New Taipei, four were recorded in Taipei and two came in Chiayi County. The new cases bring the total in the country to 15,721, of which 14,230 are domestic infections reported since May 15, when the country first recorded more than 100 COVID-19 cases in a single day.
