Police say Edward Jennings, 34, also of Pittsfield, is being charged with first degree murder in the shooting and killing of 39-year-old Lemond Grady. Police responded to the area of 631 North St. following a ShotSpotter activation and multiple 911 calls at approximately 6:18 p.m., according to a statement from the district attorney s office. Patrol units ascertained a description of the suspect, who fled the scene on foot, and arrested Jennings on the nearby Lincoln Street. Action Ambulance transported Grady to Berkshire Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
