Experts say the way people interact, work, go to school may be changed forever

While many people would like nothing more than to forget about 2020 and start fresh in 2021, the changes that society underwent this year likely won’t be going away anytime soon and could become permanent fixtures of the culture. Many water wells were left dry in neighboring communities after the failure of the Edenville and Sanford dams and regional flooding in May. As Steve King, director of environmental health for the Central Michigan District Health Department, explained in a previous interview, the groundwater table that existed in the area had been “artificially high” due to the dam and man-made lake system.
