Members of the Victim Specialist Unit of the Central Bucks Regional, Plumstead and Buckingham police departments, are asking the community to show its colors during Victim Awareness Week, April 18-24.
Area residents and businesses are asked to “coloring the community” in pink, purple and yellow to demonstrate their support. Garden centers, grocery store floral departments, florists, funeral homes and doctor’s offices in particular are asked to create displays in those hues. Knowing we are a community of ONE and sharing out symbolization of support for all to participate and share in is a gift that costs nothing more than creativity and ingenuity for our communities to be proud of a visual event to signal support of color to the cause, organizers said.

BUCKINGHAM TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) Police say a prolific crime spree lasting more than a year is now over.
Buckingham Township police report the arrest of 32-year-old Keith Johnson of Yardley. He is accused of breaking into more than 1,000 cars across 13 municipalities in Bucks County and 10 municipalities in New Jersey. Just the sheer volume and the sheer geography and the scope of it - this was a very, very active criminal, said Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub. No place was left safe. He not only crossed county borders, he crossed state borders as well.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA A Yardley man was arrested Friday by the Buckingham Township Police Department following a year-long investigation into thefts from unlocked parked in Bucks County and ten municipalities in New Jersey.
Keith Johnson, 32, faces felony charges of burglary, theft and criminal trespassing, along with dozens of misdemeanor counts of loitering and prowling at night time.
Police believe Johnson is responsible for thefts as far back as February 2020, when a number residents in Buckingham Township started reporting lost items from their unlocked vehicles, Buckingham police said in a press release Friday. Surveillance video from the thefts showed a man wearing a gaiter mask, dark sweatpants, gloves and carrying a satchel stealing items from cars.
