PENSACOLA, Fla.
The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, The Blue Angels, recently announced officers selected for the 2022 air show season.
The squadron selected three F/A-18 demonstration pilots, a C-130 demonstration pilot, and a supply officer to replace outgoing team members.
Many highly qualified Navy and Marine Corps officers submit applications to join the Blue Angels each year.
âThis year offered an exemplary group of applicants from around the fleet, making our selection process very difficult,â said Cmdr. Brian Kesselring, commanding officer and flight leader of the Blue Angels. âWith these fantastic new additions to the Blue Angels team for 2022, we are all well equipped to head into our next show season.â

CWU To Help Meet The Demand For S.T.E.M. Teachers
Central Washington University (CWU) in Ellensburg is about to go full steam ahead on STEM. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering & Math. Teachers in these subjects are in demand so when classes begin in September, CWU is introducing a Master of Education specialization in STEM Leadership.
The STEM masters program is the only one of its kind in Washington and Selah High School science teacher Alex Soto is excited to be among the first recipients of the specialization,
“I’m looking to gain further knowledge about how to teach science to people from different backgrounds and lifestyles, and get everyone super excited about STEM in general..In the long run, I could see myself transitioning into a district-wide STEM facilitator position. So, having this knowledge under my belt now will be very helpful.”
