Gov. John Carney and the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) announced on Monday afternoon that Delaware had received its first shipment of the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. Delaware, which pre-ordered its 8,775 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, is estimated to be one of the first states in the nation to receive it.
âThe Pfizer vaccineâs arrival is the first step in a process of getting back to our pre-pandemic normal,â said Carney. âWe are all looking forward to that. The vaccine will provide our front-line healthcare workers with the protection they need while caring for Delawareans who have contracted the virus.
