Upper Thumb sees 27 new coronavirus cases

UPPER THUMB There were 27 new coronavirus cases and one death reported in the Upper Thumb by the state Jan. 13.
According to the state, Huron County saw an increase of seven new coronavirus cases and zero deaths, bringing the county total to 1,454 confirmed cases and 51 deaths.
State testing data showed there were no positive test results out of the 80 tests processed for Huron County Jan. 12, resulting in the county’s first 0% positivity rate since Oct. 31.
The state’s regular coronavirus report showed Tuscola County saw an increase of eight confirmed cases and one death. The numbers reported by the Tribune Jan.12 were incorrect for the county, and including the cases from Jan. 13, the county’s total was 2,546 confirmed cases and 101 deaths.
