JAMMU, Jan 18: In order to ensure strict implementation of the directions being issued by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Manoj Sinha, his Principal Secretary Nitishwar Kumar will start holding review meetings with all the Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners from this week.
Besides directions of the Lieutenant Governor, his Principal Secretary will also hold deliberations on a host of other issues particularly strategizing/identifying the delivery of public services and preparation of road-map for change in public perception about the functioning of the Government departments.

JAMMU, Jan 11: Taking serious note of misappropriation of funds and utter violation of guidelines laid under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme, the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj has initiated Regular Departmental Action (RDA) against the then Block Development Officer, who has been inducted into Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS), three Panchayat Inspectors and one Panchayat Secretary.
The Inquiry Officer has been directed to complete the exercise within a period of 15 days and submit report along with specific recommendations to the Government so that necessary action is initiated against all the involved officials.

Chandigarh: To enhance efficiency in the functioning of the Directorate of State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) and District Institutes of Education Training (DIETs), the Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday gave approval for the creation of separate cadres of their personnel.
It was been decided to notify separate rules for personnel of SCERT/DIETs, an official spokesperson said after the Cabinet meeting, which accepted the proposal mooted by the School Education department in this regard.
