Long Branch elementary school teacher now charged with sexually assaulting multiple students

LONG BRANCH, New Jersey (WABC) Authorities say a former elementary school teacher in New Jersey who was charged earlier this month with sexually assaulting a 10-year-old student had many more victims and is now facing charges that could keep him behind bars for life. Gustavo Barrientos, of Tinton Falls, taught in three elementary schools in the Long Branch School District and at the Red Hawk Charter School. Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni said there are three sets of charges involving four young girls, ages 9, 10 and 11. In the initial case, it is alleged that the 53-year-old Barrientos showed a 10-year-old victim pornography and sexually assaulted her in a closet inside the school.

Eatontown man lures Sea Bright girls into car for sex

Get our free mobile app An Eatontown man is being charged with allegedly luring two 13-year old girls in Sea Bright into his car under guise of a 17-year old boy with the intent on having intercourse with the two young teens. Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni announce the luring charge of 27-year old Nathan Cohen Thursday morning who is also facing charges for first degree kidnapping, second degree child luring, third degree endangering the welfare of a child, third degree possession of child pornography and third degree aggravated criminal sexual contact. Cohen was found in his car Monday morning on a dead end street in Sea Bright by police who said they spotted him in the back seat with his arms wrapped around the two 13-year old girls.
