New COVID-19 outbreak reported at Jacksonville care facility FacebookTwitterEmail A new COVID-19 outbreak is being reported at a Jacksonville nursing facility, according to health officials. Positive cases have been confirmed in seven Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehab patients and nine staff members, according to a weekly report by the Morgan County Public Health Department, Jacksonville/Morgan County Emergency Management, Memorial Health System, Morgan County commissioners and the city of Jacksonville. An outbreak last year resulted in 81 cases and 18 deaths at the facility, according to Illinois Department of Public Health records. Among all the long-term care facilities in Jacksonville, there were 197 coronavirus cases and 25 deaths last year.
