Although most of them are vaccinated, COVID-19 is not yet in the rearview mirror. So, how does law enforcement protect themselves from the virus while continuing to keep us safe? We re going to be a little more cautious. We re not going to go in unless we have to. Our deputies are going to wear masks when they re in close contact, said Morgan County Sheriff s Office Spokesman Mike Swafford.

Priceville High School in police custody after bringing gun to school

Priceville High School was put on lockdown Thursday after a student brought a gun to school. The Priceville Police Department said they believe the student was planning to exchange the pistol for some tobacco products with another student. The two students could face criminal charges.   Priceville Police Chief Rick Williams told WAAY 31 that two ninth-grade male students were taken into custody. They were released to their parents around 2 p.m. Thursday. Everyone s heard the saying if you see something, say something. Well, it also applies to if you hear something, say something, and that s what a few students decided to do Thursday morning.

Deputies attempted to serve a warrant in the 600 block of Natural Bridge Road and said the suspect, believed to be Ahmad Rashad Morrow, ran away. A spokesperson for the Morgan County Sheriff s Office, Mike Swafford, said Morrow is wanted for two felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. The public should use caution in the area and report any suspicious activity.
