HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - The Hartselle Police Department arrested a woman for stealing over $2000 from an account at Crestline Elementary School.
Deputies said Abby Terry Wilson of Hartselle was arrested for the first-degree theft of property. Authorities tell WAFF the arrest was the result of an investigation into missing money from a PTO account at the school.
An investigation began when staff members reported the money stolen exceeded $2,500. Officials said members of the organization noticed there were several charges on the debit card for the account.

A woman is charged with driving under the influence for a chase with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office says speeds reached more than 100 mph on Highway 36. It happened after deputies finished a traffic stop and saw a vehicle speed by with its hazard lights on.
Deputies were able to intercept the vehicle at Highway 36 and Collins Hill Road.
The sheriff’s office says “The driver, informed Deputies that she feared her Grandma was having a heart attack and refused to exit the vehicle. Unfortunately, she eventually could not remember why she was worried about her Grandma, was determined to be driving under the influence, and resisted arrest.”

According to the Morgan County Sheriff s Office, the Colorado State Patrol, Hudson Police Department, and the Lochbuie Police Department were all in pursuit of a U-haul truck that was failing to stop - and almost hit a Hudson police officer.
North Alabama man charged with abusing woman’s corpse

A North Alabama man turned himself in to authorities Monday and was charged with abusing the corpse of a woman whose body was found in late December, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said.
Darrell Bruce Reeves, 40, of Hartselle, was booked Monday into the Morgan County Jail and charged with abuse of a corpse after surrendering to authorities, the sheriff’s office said.
A hunter discovered the body of 43-year-old Bobbie Jolynn Garrison on the morning of Dec. 27 off of State Highway 36 in unincorporated Hartselle, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies tried to execute a search warrant at Reeves’ home when he turned himself in.
