33-year-old Johny Lee of Morganton was arrested Monday (June 7) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. He’s charged with felony common law robbery and misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury.
On Monday at 9:23 a.m., Morganton Department of Public Safety Officers responded to Roses Discount Store on East Fleming Drive in reference to an armed robbery. The cashier said that a man walked around the counter with a box-cutter knife and pointed it at her. The suspect told the cashier that he would cut her, if she didn`t give him all the money in the register.

23-year-old Gelane Dashar Dula of South Lail Avenue in Morganton was arrested Thursday (May 27) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. He’s charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver schedule VI controlled substance.
Thursday at approximately 10:30 p.m., Morganton Public Safety officers were conducting a checking station on Sanford Drive when a vehicle pulled up that emitted an odor of marijuana from inside. An officer motioned for the driver to pull off the roadway for further investigation.
