Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente Jr. urged county residents to be cautious this holiday season as COVID-19 cases continue to increase in the region. It s nine days until Christmas, and while other times we would be looking at that number and counting those days to shopping and other activities, this year it s markedly different, he said in a press briefing Wednesday afternoon, adding that residents should avoid spreading out their errands if they are going out. We saw an increase in dramatic numbers from Thanksgiving, our hope is we don t see a repeat for this holiday season coming up, he said.
