Sheriff s office: 1 killed, 1 injured in Oneida County crash

A 50-year-old woman died following a two-car motor vehicle accident early Tuesday morning in Vernon, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.  Early results from the Sheriff’s Office Forensics and Criminal Investigation Units found Jacob R. Bouck, 20, was driving a 2005 Subaru Outback in a westerly direction on Youngs Road around 6:45 a.m. when he left his lane and entered into the eastbound lane.   Bouck’s vehicle then hit a 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit operated by Tracy A. Cornish, 50, deputies said, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.    Bouck was transported to the St. Elizabeth Campus of the Mohawk Valley Health System for reports of chest and leg pains. His injuries do not appear to be life- threatening, authorities said.

Many of the largest health data breaches reported to federal regulators so far this year have involved vendors, including the attack that took advantage of vulnerabilities in the Accellion File Transfer Appliance product.
