JOHNSTOWN Fulton County officials continue to work on a site inventory project with the Mohawk Valley Economic Development District, which received two consultant proposals.
Fulton County Industrial Development Agency Executive Director James Mraz recently told his board that MVEDD and the Fulton County Center for Regional Growth received two proposals.
They are from Elan Planning/Landscape Architecture/Engineering, D.P.C. and the MRB Group, both of Saratoga Springs.
“They’re hoping to have this work done later this summer,” Mraz said of MVEDD.
Mraz said MVEDD and the CRG are reviewing both proposals to determine which firm to hire.

The Keep Mohawk Valley initiative launched its 2021 regional Clean and Green event today, with over 30 outside groups and over 100 volunteers teaming up to pick up trash around the city of Utica.
The event was billed as a quaran-team project, incentivising people to get outside and get active after a year of staying largely indoors. Officials described the event as a way of bringing the community together and making oneself feel better in the process.

JOHNSTOWN The Fulton County Center for Regional Growth is currently promoting the county’s business facilities in a major marketing initiative.
The effort was discussed by CRG officials at a recent meeting of the Board of Supervisors’ Economic Development & Environment Committee at the County Office Building.
CRG Economic Development Specialist Ken Adamczyk said businesses are looking for 50,000 and 100,000 square foot facilities. He said the agency has also been marketing the Tryon Technology Park in Perth through a recent article.

UTICA, N.Y. – Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful launched its 2021 Clean & Green campaign Wednesday, kicking off the 20
th annual effort to clean parks and public spaces throughout the region.
To participate, groups can register in ‘quaran-teams’ and work together to pick up litter in their local parks and neighborhoods.
The official kick-off event will be held at Hanna Park in Utica on Saturday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
