Jan. 30 Hospital cases of COVID-19 continued to drop Friday in Stanislaus County, which also reported seven more deaths.
A total of 822 residents have died since the pandemic emerged last spring, the county Health Services Agency said. January has brought 206 deaths, the most of any month.
The 335 positive tests announced Friday raised the total to 45,599. Stanislaus also has 385,610 negative test results and 41,974 people who are presumed recovered from the virus.
The county s five hospitals had 243 patients with confirmed COVID-19 on Friday, down from 253 the previous day. That s roughly 100 fewer than in early January but still a concern. Three intensive-care beds for adults were available Friday, down from eight.

Jan. 29 Stanislaus County freed up 25 hospital beds for COVID-19 patients Thursday, a hopeful sign that the winter surge is easing.
Seven more deaths were reported by the county Health Services Agency, for a total of 815 since last spring. January has had 199 of the deaths, the worst month to date.
Thursday brought 266 new cases in the county, for a total of 45,264. Stanislaus also has 381,788 negative test results and 41,597 people who are presumed recovered from the virus.
The county s five hospitals had 253 patients with confirmed COVID-19 on Thursday, down from 278 the previous day. The figure was well over 300 in early January. Eight intensive-care beds for adults were available, up from one.

Jan. 26 Stanislaus County added eight deaths to COVID-19 on Monday, the same day that it emerged from a stay-home order thanks to other data.
A total of 796 residents have died since the pandemic emerged last spring, the county Health Services Agency said.
The 258 new cases Monday bring the total to 44,442. Stanislaus also has 373,615 negative test results and 40,326 people who are presumed recovered from the virus.
The county s five hospitals had 291 patients with confirmed COVID-19 on Monday, up from 282 the previous two days. The figure was well over 300 in early January. Three intensive-care beds were available to adults Monday, versus five Sunday.
