Part of Plymouth Hoe has been fenced off this afternoon while a test flight for The Hatchling - an enormous puppet dragon- takes place.
Today, test flights are being carried out on the Hoe in preparation for the spectacular event.
The impressive puppet is constructed from super lightweight carbon fibre weighing less than a piece of hand luggage, allowing it to be operated by a team of 36 puppeteers working in rotation in groups of 15.

A man has been charged after a lit item was placed under a police van during a Kill the Bill protest.
Ryan Paul Roberts, 25, of Madeira Road, Plymouth, has been charged with attempted arson with intent to endanger life.
The incident occurred during the protest in Bristol on 21 March, which saw thousands on the city s streets.
He has also been charged with two counts of criminal damage and two of assaulting an emergency worker.
Mr Roberts has been remanded in custody and will appear at Bristol Magistrates Court on 3 April.
