Treherne RCMP are asking for help from the public in locating the possible suspect or suspects in a report that nails were placed on a roadway in the RM of Norfolk Treherne.
Treherne RCMP were notified that someone placed nails on Road 53 North and Highway 242 on August 7, and on November 18, 2020. The nails are placed near the stop sign entering onto Highway 242. These reports are not believed to be accidental in nature. This has cost residence’s in the area several hundred dollars in tire repairs or replacements. This could also cause a worse fate, in that the driver could lose control after the tire goes flat causing a collision.

On Nov. 26, 2005 Thompson cab driver Melissa Chaboyer was killed around 12:30 a.m. in the parking lot behind City Centre Mall, near what was then the Vantis (now Assiniboine) Credit Union ATM vestibule and rear entrance beside the south doors of the mall.
