Ford began building pre-production models of its new small pickup truck in Mexico in recent weeks and these new renderings from Kolesa provide us with an excellent idea of what the finished truck will look like.
Reportedly named the Maverick (though, not officially confirmed yet), the new pickup is based on Ford’s C2 platform, also used by the Escape and Bronco Sport that is built in the same Mexican factory.
As our own renderings also show, the Ford Maverick will have a design quite different than the current Ranger, its larger pickup sibling. Dominating the front end of the unibody compact pickup will be a pair of C-shaped headlights that seamlessly join with the blacked-out grille. The Maverick depicted in these renderings also has a simple black front bumper with two visible two hooks.
