Forest dept officials say the big cat may have strayed from the nearby Baby Betta forest area
MYSURU: A leopard-spotted moving inside popular tourist spot Brindavan Gardens at KRS Reservoir in Srirangapatna taluk, Mandya district, has triggered panic among the reservoir staff and tourists.
The CCTV cameras installed near the south gate of the garden showed the big cat moving around the area on Thursday night, officials said.
According to sources, big cats regularly enter villages near the dam area in search of food. But this is the first time a leopard was spotted inside the garden, which is visited by thousands of tourists every day. Measures have been put in place for the safety of tourists, they added.

MYSURU: A drunken brawl between friends ended with the murder of two and another getting seriously injured in Mysuru late on Sunday.
Police have concluded that an argument broke out between a bunch of friends over a property and then one group launched murderous attack and killed Kishan and Kiran, both in their late twenties.
Madhu, an auto driver escaped with injuries. He is stable and being treated in a hospital.
