Mosquito menace: Mymensingh City Corporation release 2000 frogs in canal Photo: Collected Star Digital Report Star Digital Report To protect city dwellers from mosquito menace, authorities of Mymensingh City Corporation have released 2000 frogs in a canal of the city today. Ikramul Haque Titu, mayor of Mymensingh City Corporation, today inaugurated the project by primarily releasing 2000 frogs at Makarjan canal in the city s Harikishore Roy Road. While talking with journalists, Mayor Ikramul said, These frogs will breed in all drains, canals and reservoirs of the city in phases and will play a vital role in preventing the spread of mosquitoes by eating mosquito larvae.
