COVID-19 Outbreak Reported at Casino Caribbean
Yakima Health District officials say Yakima is meeting two important metrics to be able to stay in Phase-3 of the state s reopening plan. The numbers show Yakima is doing everything needed to keep the numbers low.
But while the numbers are low there was an outbreak at a local business earlier this month. The outbreak was reported at Casino Caribbean where 12 people tested positive for COVID-19 on May 5.
As a result of the outbreak Yakima Health District officials recommended testing all employees, requiring a vaccination before returning to work, weekly testing of employees, masking and monitoring staff for symptoms of the virus. Those rules are now in place.
