YOUNGSTOWN Erik E. Jenkins, 25, of Columbus, was arraigned Tuesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court in connection with the March 4 murder of Thomas C. Williams, 34, and the wounding of a security guard.
The shooting took place in the parking lot of King’s Court tavern, 3223 South Ave. Magistrate Dominic DeLaurentis of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court kept Jenkins’ $1 million bond in place after Jenkins pleaded not guilty by video from the Mahoning County jail.
Jenkins was indicted on murder, attempted murder and felonious assault in a case that took a surprising turn when authorities revealed that Jenkins is charged in Williams’ death, but it may not have been his gunshots that killed Williams.
