The land acquisition for the second phase of the upcoming Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) in Jewar area is likely to begin after the next cabinet meeting. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked officials to keep the Jewar airport project on top priority.

GREATER NOIDA: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has planned to designate two of the five proposed police stations near Jewar airport as women’s police stations. Five police stations and a chowki had been proposed for sectors 25A, 29, 18, 20, 22-D and Dayanantpur. YEIDA CEO Arunvir Singh said that they have planned to make the police stations at sectors 18 and 29 women’s police stations.
“Ahead of Women’s Day (March 8), we discussed the possibility of having two women’s police stations in the area. A textile park is supposed to come up in Sector 29 and we are expecting that around 80 per cent of the workforce at the park will be women. Hence, we plan to have a women’s police station in that area, along with another one at Sector 18,” he said.
