An execution date has been set for one of York County s most notorious mass killers. But, since Gov. Tom Wolf has set a moratorium on executions in the state, it is not likely that Paul Gamboa-Taylor will make his May 14 appointment in the state s death chamber. On Thursday, Department of Corrections Secretary John Wetzel signed what s called a Notice of Execution, setting an execution date for the 60-year-old mass killer. It is mostly a procedural matter. The law requires the corrections secretary to sign a warrant of execution when the governor does not take action within a specified period of time.

York man arrested for outstanding drug, weapons possession charges in Dover Township

York Police on Tuesday announced the arrest of a 19-year-old city man wanted on felony drug and weapons possession charges.  Anthony A-Rod Colon is believed to be a person of interest in several recent shootings and shots-fired incidents in the city, police say. Colon was arrested on Feb. 14, 2020 for felony drug possession on the 1000 block of N. George St., police say. He was released on supervised bail following his arrest, according to police. Last month, Colon allegedly sold a quantity of heroin to undercover agents with the York City Police Narcotics Unit, police say.

Police: Man arrested on drug, gun charges a person of interest in York City shootings York Dispatch A 19-year-old York City man arrested Monday on felony drug and firearm charges is a person of interest in several shootings, according to York City Police. Anthony Xavier “A-Rod” Colon faces a charge of possessing a firearm with an altered manufacturer number and three counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver drugs. All are felonies. He also faces three counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance by person not legally allowed to and a charge of use or possession of drug paraphernalia. All are misdemeanors.
