New York Senator Chuck Schumer announced that the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority will receive $6.9 million from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the New York State Department of Transportation. The first phase will consist of dredging the St. Lawrence riverbed so bigger Seaway ships can dock. The second phase of the work will add 500 feet to the port’s west dock wall to create another vessel berth and build additional cargo storage.
