Longtime soap opera actor Jay Pickett has “passed away suddenly” while filming a movie in Idaho, the United States.
Pickett, 60, was on the
Treasure Valley set when he died Friday (July 30), director Travis Mills said Sunday (Aug 1) in a statement online.
“Everyone present tried as hard as they could to keep him alive,” Mills wrote. “Our hearts are broken and we grieve for his family who are so devastated by this shocking tragedy.”
A cause of death has not been released, but Mills said it “appears to have been a heart attack.”
He decided he was going to take it.
Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider tweeted the rumours were true that he had contracted the coronavirus, but because he was vaccinated, the 66-year-old rocked on with no problem.
“FOR ALL WHO READ I GOT COVID. I’m fully vaccinated so my symptoms were minor,” Snider told fans.
“Advil and Sudafed totally managed them. Didn’t miss a beat business wise (did 10 interviews on first day I got it). All symptoms gone in three days. I feel totally fine now. GET THE VACCINATION!”
While some fans responded supportively, other head bangers who maybe should have worn a helmet didn’t get it.
