Johnson confirmed Tuesday that he’s eyeing the possibility of running for city comptroller, a post focused mainly on auditing city agencies, overseeing public pensions and reviewing city contracts. “I’ve spent the last six months focused on my own well-being,” Johnson told the Daily News on Tuesday. “This was not something I’d been considering until a week and a half ago when I was approached by elected officials and other people connected to government who told me to look at this race.”
